Welcome to our Socials page where you’ll find all the info on upcoming socials. Full details are listed below. We aim to fill the calendar with varied and fun events so if you want an event adding or have any ideas, please email nottsocial@ndwg.co.uk or derbysocial@ndwg.co.uk.
Regular pub meets are held once a month in both Derby and Nottingham. These are great fun whether you’re new or have been with the group for years. Share stories of walks, have a drink and catch up with friends. As well as our normal pub meets, we sometimes have…
New Starters’ Socials; the perfect way to get over that “walking into a room full of strangers” thing. Members of the committee will be on hand to tell you all you need to know to get started with the group. These are by no means essential, you are welcome to turn up at the start of any walk but many find them a really good ice-breaker. Existing members are always welcome to the New Starters’ Socials so use it as an excuse to pop out for a pint!
Group meals are held regularly in Derby and Nottingham. We try to vary the choice (and cost) of cuisine on offer so keep checking back and see if there are any meals you fancy. If you’d like to see your favourite restaurant on there, tell us about it!
One off events are always welcomed. Fancy horse-riding? Ice skating? Go Ape? If you want it, just tell us and we’ll make it happen.
