Changes to volunteer resources includes the new volunteer page going live with resources and training available on the website without the need to login to Assemble to access training and resources. The walk leadership guidance has been updated including training for new walk leaders, walk leader handbook and walk leadership training before leading a walk. Safeguarding and reporting have also been updated with the policy available on Rambler’s website. Telegram is seen to be a good alternative communication channel for the Committee and easy to navigate.

Previous Minutes

Focusing on the walks programme including summer evening walks from May. The weekend away in Grinton received a good turnout with more weekends planned and Telegram communication between the committee was trialled as an alternative to Slack.

Walks programme

The walks programme has been updated up to 14th July with evening walks on a Wednesday. Start times may vary to accommodate parking availability. Walks will include a mixture of Peak District White and Dark Peak areas. There is the potential for an upcoming walking weekend within the summer period offering walks on both Saturday and Sunday providing an opportunity for an overnight stay for those interested, more details to follow with confirmation of walk leaders as well.
