    Navigation Course

    Easy. Leader: Katie Szkornik & Rachel Johnson.

    The day is aimed at beginners or a refresher for the rusty. It will cover basic navigation using OS maps and Ramblers Walks Leader training. We will not specifically cover compass/bearing skills. The morning will be based in the hall, with the afternoon spent navigating and leading a short practice walk. We’ll cover navigation and walk-leading skills, and the day is aimed at beginners or those with limited experience. Where possible, we’ll tailor the training to suit different levels of experience. The training will cover the material covered in the Ramblers Leaders training so will qualify you to lead walks for the group. The cost is £10 per person. If you go on to lead a walk for the group after completing the course, you’ll receive a £10 voucher to use on an NDWG weekend.
