Lead a Walk
A big thank you so far to everyone who has volunteered to lead walks, organise weekends and run socials. We couldn’t run the group without you! If you are interested in leading a walk please contact us and we will add your name. We are also happy to advise people who have never led a walk or help you find a buddy to lead your first walk with.
Leader Guidance
The Ramblers Walk Leadership pages provide essential information for new walk leaders, including a guide to getting started and online training courses.
Please also read our guidance notes for walk leaders.
The current Ramblers Walk Leaders Checklist also provides guidance on leading group walks and information about first aid and what to do in an emergency.
It is vital to complete a Risk Assessment form before the walk so that you can be covered by the Ramblers insurance. This form can be downloaded as either a PDF or a Microsoft Word document.
