Nestled at the foot of Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia, we’ll be returning to an old group favourite, YHA Idwal Cottage, 6th - 8th October (2 nights) 2023 for the bargain price of £40 pp.

Classic Snowdonia walks easily accessible from the doorstep include the Glyders, the Carneddau, Tryfan and Y Garn. Exact walks chosen will depend on weather and group abilities, but the intention will be to ‘walk from the door’ on both days.

YHA Idwal Cottage is a self-catering only YHA (alcohol can be purchased) with ample cooking, kitchen and dining space (and facilities). Free parking is available right outside the hostel for YHA guests, although car sharing is strongly encouraged. A refreshment kiosk is located next door (Cwm Idwal Visitor Centre) which sells hot and cold snacks during the day. Capel Curig, Betws-y-Coed and Llanberis are all located within 10-20 mins drive. Wifi is not available at the hostel (yay!) and the mobile signal is limited (yay!).
